About 3 years ago, I bought my daughter’s first pair of pod school shoes from a local shoe shop. After that, I bought school shoes directly from the pod website. She has had both the plain and patent Irene shoes before. They are comfortable and durable. I’d like to be able to buy spare laces (they can fray if stood on repeatedly - if left untied). When bought in the sale, they are most definitely value for money.

I have sent these back for a refund, still waiting for the refund. We bought these shoes the year before from a local shop so reordered them directly as our local shop don't supply them anymore. This time around the same shoes have changed and don't fit the same unfortunately. They are deeper so roomier.

Girls' Irene Senior School Shoes

I bought these shoes for school. They look great, but my child could not walk in them because their soles are very hard and inflexible. On inspection, it turns out they are built with a wooden block inside the soles and a thing foam layer on top.
